ANSI B92.1-1996

INVOLUTE SPLINES AND INSPECTION

Gives guidance and data for the design of straight (nonhelical) involute spline teeth. This includes the dimensions for splines of recommended spline pitches, the tolerances for the various spline elemants, tooth thickness and space width tolerances which may be selected to suit design needs, as well as a methodical treatment of manufacturing variations and their effect on the fit between mating splined parts.

Quality Management Systems - Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense Organizations

This standard includes ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements and specifies additional aviation, space, and defense industry requirements, definitions, and notes. It is emphasized that the requirements specified in this standard are complementary (not alternative) to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. If there is a conflict between the requirements of this standard and customer or applicable statutory or regulatory requirements, the latter shall take precedence. ANSI B92.1b-1996

Involute Splines - 1996 Addendum

The purposes of this addendum to B92.1 is to expand the capability of the standard. All numbers are connected to a formula to enable an easier use of the standard. Minimum effective clearance is defined. Form clearance is controlled by tooth size and minimum fillet radius is specified for a flat root spline. Some drawings callouts are added for clarification and the tolerances are limited for splines with a larger number of teeth.

American National Standard for Safety Glazing Motor Vehicles and Motor Vehicle Equipment Operating on Land Highways

It is the fundamental purpose of this standard to prescribe the functional properties of safety glazing materials in such a manner that they can be used in any place in motor vehicles and motor vehicle equipment for which they possess those mechanical or optical properties, or both, that are requisite and appropriate. For example, safety glazing materials for windshields must pass a specified group of test requirements, all of which currently can be met only by certain laminated safety glazing; however, if and when other safety glazing materials are developed which possess properties such that they, too, fulfill the requirements of the prescribed tests for this location, they may also be used; and similar reasoning would apply for other locations. This standard is designed to serve two purposes: (1) to afford a basis for standards for adoption in regulations by governmental regulatory bodies; or (2) for use by motor vehicle commissioners or others as reference standards in such cases as they may have discretionary authority to adopt these or other standards in connection with the approval of safety glazing materials or other items of use in or on motor vehicle equipment.

Pyrometry

This specification covers pyrometric requirements for equipment used for the thermal processing of metallic materials. Specifically, it covers temperature sensors, instrumentation, thermal processing equipment, correction factors and instrument offsets, system accuracy tests, and temperature uniformity surveys. These are necessary to ensure that parts or raw materials are heat treated in accordance with the applicable specification(s).

This standard defines FOD Prevention Program requirements for organizations that design, develop, and provide aviation, space, and defense products and services; and by organizations providing post-delivery support, including the provision of maintenance, spare parts, or materials for their own products and services. It is emphasized that the requirements specified in this standard are complementary (not alternative) to customer, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Should there be a conflict between the requirements of this standard and applicable statutory or regulatory requirements, the latter shall take precedence.

Configuration Management Standard

This standard defines five CM functions and their underlying principles. The functions are detailed in Section 5. The principles, highlighted in text boxes, are designed to individually identify the essence of the related CM function and can be used to collectively create a checklist of “best practice” criteria to evaluate a CM program. The CM principles defined in this standard apply equally to internally focused enterprise information, processes, and supporting systems (i.e., Enterprise CM - policy driven, supporting the internal goals needed to achieve an efficient, effective and lean enterprise), as well as to the working relationships supported by the enterprise (i.e., Acquirer/Supplier CM - contracted relationship to support external trusted interaction with suppliers).

Connections for General Use and Fluid Power - Ports and Stud Ends with ASME B1.1 Threads and O-Ring Sealing - Part 1: Threaded Port with O-Ring Seal in Truncated Housing

This part of SAE J1926 specifies dimensions for fluid power and general use ports with inch threads in accordance with ASME B1.1 for use with adjustable and nonadjustable stud ends shown in SAE J1926-2 and SAE J1926-3.

Ports in accordance with this part of SAE J1926 may be used at working pressures up to 63 MPa for nonadjustable stud ends and up to 40 MPa for adjustable stud ends. The permissible working pressure depends upon materials, design, working conditions, application, etc.

For threaded ports and stud ends specified in new designs for hydraulic fluid power applications, only ISO 6149 shall be used. Threaded ports and stud ends in accordance with ISO 1179, ISO 9974, and ISO 11926 shall not be used for new designs in hydraulic fluid power applications.
